Dmytro Kuleba discusses Russia's destabilizing actions with Canadian Foreign Minister

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba had a telephone call with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Marc Garneau.

Dmytro Kuleba and Marc Garneau paid special attention to Russia's escalation of the security situation near the Ukrainian border and on the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. 

The Foreign Minister of Ukraine told his Canadian counterpart about the current situation in the area of the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict, stressed the illegal actions of Russia in the Azov-Black Sea waters, the militarization of the temporarily occupied Crimea, Black and Azov Seas. 

Marc Garneau noted that Canada is very concerned about Russia's increased military presence on the border with Ukraine and the threats that Moscow's current destabilizing actions pose to the security of our country and Europe as a whole. 

The Canadian Foreign Minister noted Ukraine's balanced position in the current situation, reaffirmed Canada's continued support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity and its Euro-Atlantic aspirations. 

The interlocutors discussed further cooperation within the framework of the Ukraine-Canada Mobility Working Group in order to strengthen the dialogue in the fields of migration and visas. 

Dmytro Kuleba and Marc Garneau also coordinated actions in the context of preparations for the next stage of negotiations with Iran on bringing to justice those responsible for the downing of the PS752 flight and establishing justice for the victims of the tragedy and their relatives.
