New railway route to Germany to become available for passengers from Ukraine

On August 1, passengers traveling from Ukraine will gain a new convenient opportunity to reach Germany by rail. Spanish railway operator Renfe, with which JSC Ukrzaliznytsia recently signed a cooperation memorandum, is launching an international night train on the route Przemyśl – Frankfurt am Main.

To ensure smooth connections, Ukrzaliznytsia has organized transfers in Przemyśl for passengers arriving from Ukraine on the following trains:

• № 51/52 Kyiv – Przemyśl

• № 31/32 Zaporizhzhia/Dnipro – Przemyśl

• № 69/70 Kremenchuk – Przemyśl

• № 35/36 Odesa – Przemyśl

• № 89/90 Kyiv – Przemyśl

“We are expanding international railway opportunities for Ukrainians and integrating our railway into the European transport network. The new route opens up even more convenient travel options to Germany and other European countries, and thanks to coordinated transfers in Przemyśl, passengers can comfortably continue their journey without unnecessary difficulties,” said Mykola Kalashnyk, Minister for Restoration, Infrastructure and Transport of Ukraine.

The new international train will run daily, connecting Poland, the Czech Republic, and Germany. The route will pass through Kraków, Ostrava, Prague, Dresden, and several German cities, including Bad Schandau, Weißenfels, Naumburg (Saale), Apolda, Gotha, Eisenach, Hanau, Offenbach, and Frankfurt am Main.

For night travel, passengers will have access to modern Economy Sleeper Class coaches with compartments for 1–4 people. The coaches are equipped with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, electrical outlets, and breakfast is included in the ticket price. Passengers can choose between mixed or women-only compartments. The train also includes first- and second-class seating coaches.

Ticket prices start at EUR 15 for seating coaches and EUR 37.50 for sleeper compartments.
