In January-September 2018, in Ukraine retail trade indice made up 105.5% as compared to the same period 2017 and 106.9% in September 2018 as compared to September 2017, according to the data from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine. In the regional plane, the highest growth was registered in Luhansk (27.9%), Donetsk (13.7%), Poltava (11.1%) and Vinnytsia (9.1%) regions. The top ten leaders comprise Zhytomyr, Sumy, Ternopil, Rivne and Mykolaiv regions.

Background

According to the State Statistics Service data, the average nominal wage of a full-time employee at enterprises, institutions and organizations in August 2018 amounted to UAH 8,977, which exceeds 2.4 times the minimum wage (UAH 3,723). Growth of the economy, according to the data of the State Statistics Service, was 3.8% in QII.
