  • State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving together with European partners improves mechanism to encourage enterprises to energy efficiency

    The elaborated by the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving (SAEE) in synergy with the Ukraine-Denmark Energy Center mechanism of stimulating enterprises to energy efficiency was discussed by Serhii Savchuk, SAEE Head at a meeting with Johannes Baur, Head of Operations Section 3 "Economic cooperation, energy, infrastructure and environment" of the EU Delegation to Ukraine.

    This mechanism has been developed based on the experience of 18 countries, including 8 EU countries, in close cooperation with international projects aimed to fulfill the goal of the National Energy Efficiency Action Plan by 2020, the Paris Agreement and our commitments to the EU.

    During the talks, Serhii Savchuk emphasized that in case of implementation of the aforesaid enterprises would benefit from energy efficiency, as it is an opportunity to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions without cutting, but even increasing production volumes and quality of production. As a result, the competitiveness of enterprises will grow, thereby strengthening the economy of Ukraine as whole.
