A simple and effective online service for checking the validity of documents, which has been available on the website of the State Migration Service for more than 6 years, is proving very popular with the public. In particular, it is widely used by banking, insurance, notary and legal professionals to protect themselves from fraudsters using forged documents for fraudulent purposes.

On average, there are more than 20,000 document validity views per day.

However, the team of the State Migration Service isn’t stopping there and is continuing to expand the capabilities of the service. An English version of the document validity check is now available to users. It will be particularly useful for staff of migration services, embassies and consulates of foreign countries.

Both the Ukrainian and English versions of the online service allow checking the following documents:

• Passport of the citizen of Ukraine;
• Passport of the citizen of Ukraine in card form;
• Passport of the citizen of Ukraine for travelling abroad;
• Temporary certificate of the citizen of Ukraine;
• Stateless person’s travel document;
• Permanent residence permit;
• Temporary residence permit;
• Refugee Certificate;
• Certificate of a person in need of subsidiary protection;
• Travel document of a person granted subsidiary protection;
• Travel document of a child.
