The task of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine is not only to repair facilities damaged by the enemy, but to build a new energy system architecture: one that is more secure, more flexible, more market-oriented, and more integrated with Europe. And the state expects that business will become an important part of this process. This was emphasized by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a meeting of the Entrepreneurship Support Council, chaired by the Head of the President’s Office, Kyrylo Budanov, and participated in by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

The Minister of Energy briefed the meeting participants on plans to restore the power grid and develop power generation.

“In particular, the Government updated the rules for the tender on the construction of new power generation facilities yesterday, and the tender will be announced shortly. We expect this to add about 1.3 GW to the power grid,” noted the First Deputy Prime Minister.

Denys Shmyhal thanked entrepreneurs for their responsibility during these difficult times for the country and emphasized that the Ministry of Energy is counting on fruitful cooperation to build a new Ukrainian power grid.
