On 19 November, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen in Kyiv.
The Head of the Ukrainian Government thanked for the consistent support of our country during the full-scale russian invasion, as well as for the announcement of a new, 22nd aid package of EUR 130 million.
"Denmark is the first country to allocate funds for already concluded contracts for the production of Ukrainian weapons. We hope that other partners will follow this example, as it helps not only the Ukrainian Security and Defence Forces, but also the Ukrainian defence industry," said Denys Shmyhal.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister of Ukraine also invited Denmark to join the Civil Protection Coalition, which Ukraine had launched together with Finland. He noted that Denmark was providing significant support in the reconstruction of Mykolaiv region, and the Government expected the same fruitful cooperation in the construction of shelters.
The parties discussed, among other things, the implementation of reforms, Ukraine's European integration and its progress towards NATO. Denys Shmyhal thanked Denmark for its ongoing support in these areas.
