Companies whose infrastructure has been destroyed or damaged by the enemy and which are located in the territory of active hostilities will be eligible for debt restructuring. The Government approved the relevant criteria for heat and water utilities on 10 December, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.

“We are setting out an algorithm for applying for debt restructuring. This way we will reduce the debt pressure on critical infrastructure enterprises in the frontline areas for the successful passage of the heating season,” said Denys Shmyhal.

According to the Head of Government, almost 100% of all facilities – residential buildings, hospitals, schools, kindergartens – are currently connected to heat. According to him, the problem areas are Kherson, which suffers from enemy shelling, and Kryvyi Rih. Active repair and restoration works are underway in these cities.
