The Government has already triggered preparations for the heating season, being well aware of all the challenges and threats, emphasized Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a briefing within the framework of the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Lugano.

"We have embarked on creating a suitable supply of modular boiler houses that can be promptly delivered and deployed. We stock special generators for electricity and a stock of purifiers for drinking water. We are gearing up for the heating season, but we must understand that it will be difficult to quickly restore centralized heat supply in areas where large thermal power plants have been broken down," noted Denys Shmyhal.

The Prime Minister stressed that all procedures had been planned for such a situation, and they had been agreed with local self-government bodies. According to him, all issues of the heating season are in the focus of the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development and the Ministry of Energy, there have been established the corresponding headquarters for preparation for the autumn-winter period as well.

Denys Shmyhal also told that agreements on the installation of modular houses for almost 15,000 families had been signed in Ukraine.
