Denys Shmyhal together with the state leadership and international partners honours the memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal took part in the events marking the third anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the russian federation.

The Head of the Ukrainian Government, together with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, government officials and the military, paid tribute to the heroes who gave their lives for a free, independent and democratic Ukraine.

The ceremony was also attended by representatives of foreign countries who arrived in Kyiv.

“Our international partners are also with us on this day. In Kyiv. Thank you for your unwavering solidarity with Ukraine and for all the help provided during the full-scale war. Thanks to our defenders and thanks to the support of our allies, Ukraine continues to fight,” said Denys Shmyhal.

The country’s leadership and distinguished guests laid candle lamps at the People’s Memorial to the fallen defenders of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war on Maidan Nezalezhnosti.

“Three years of full-scale war. Three years of resilience. During this time, Ukrainians have proved to the whole world that our victory is in the people who bring it closer every day. First of all, these are our soldiers. They are the people who write world history. We are extremely grateful to all our defenders. We are grateful to everyone who works, rescues, treats and teaches. To all those who bring our victory closer and provide a reliable rear. Ukraine needs a just peace, strong and inviolable security guarantees,” the Prime Minister stressed.
