Denys Shmyhal met with Neil Crompton, the British Ambassador to Ukraine

Denys Shmyhal, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Energy, met with Neil Crompton, the British Ambassador to Ukraine.

The Minister of Energy thanked the Government and people of the United Kingdom for their consistent support of Ukraine and their significant contribution to strengthening the country’s energy resilience.

During the meeting, key priorities were discussed, including the development of electricity generation, strengthening the protection of energy facilities, and continuing restoration efforts. Special attention was given to the implementation of the power system resilience plan and corporate reform in the energy sector.

The parties also discussed preparations for a Ukrainian mission of engineers and experts to the UK to assess equipment from decommissioned British power plants that could be transferred to Ukraine.

“I expressed appreciation for the continued support and readiness to work together to further strengthen Ukraine’s energy security,” stressed Denys Shmyhal.
