During a working trip to Berlin on October 24, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz.
The parties discussed key aspects of cooperation between the countries and the restoration of Ukraine. The Head of the Ukrainian Government thanked the Chancellor of Germany for his personal initiative in organizing the conference on the recovery of Ukraine and seeking ways of long-term consolidated support for our country.
In this regard, the Prime Minister also briefed about government programs to stimulate the development of small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine and invited Germany to participate in their financing.
Denys Shmyhal and Olaf Scholz touched upon the situation at the Zaporizhzhia NPP and Kakhovka HPP. The Head of the Ukrainian Government emphasized that russian terrorists continue their policy of intimidation and blackmail, so he called on partners to respond decisively to such statements in order to avert a potential hazard.
Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, for his part, has announced that Germany plans to provide Ukraine with three more IRIS-T complexes. Denys Shmyhal noted that the already obtained system had proved extremely effective in protecting the Ukrainian sky and saved many lives.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine thanked Germany for the multilateral support of our country.
