On February 25, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal chaired a meeting on optimizing the process of military medical examination.
"Certificates should follow the servicemen, not vice versa. We are working to remove unnecessary bureaucracy and possible abuses from the process of passing Military Medical Commission's examinations," the Head of Government emphasized.
During the meeting, the expert group, together with the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, and the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs, presented their best practices to solve problems in this area. The main goal is to automate and digitalize all processes.
"The military must receive proper and fast service with an appropriate level of attention and respect," the Prime Minister emphasized.
The participants of the meeting separately focused on obtaining a certificate of fact about the circumstances of injury from a military unit. The Head of Government instructed the responsible ministries to develop changes that will make this service digitized. The Prime Minister also tasked to consider the possibility of creating a so-called "military CASP" on the basis of each recruitment center.
Denys Shmyhal emphasized that the process of passing the Commission's examination should become human-centered. This applies not only to the Military Medical Commission but also to the Medical and Social Expert Commission.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Health Viktor Liashko, Minister for Veterans' Affairs Yulia Laputina, Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovych, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Yulia Sokolovska, Commander of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Tetiana Ostashchenko, representatives of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and MPs.
