Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and French Presidential Envoy for Ukraine’s Relief and Reconstruction Pierre Heilbronn met to discuss the implementation of recovery projects.
“It is worth noting the active development of cooperation at the regional level. We have a number of examples of the establishment of relationships between the communities of Ukraine and France. We are grateful for the extension of the mandate of the French Development Agency (AFD) to our country, which will further strengthen cooperation,” said Denys Shmyhal.
The parties discussed the involvement of the private sector in the reconstruction. Specific projects in this area are already being prepared.
Denys Shmyhal and Pierre Heilbronn also discussed joint work within the Multi-Donor Coordination Platform. The Prime Minister of Ukraine noted that France was one of the main donors to Ukraine.
For his part, the Special Envoy of the President of France assured Ukraine of long-term support.
