Denys Shmyhal discusses key aspects of Ukrainian diplomacy with students of The George Washington University

In Washington, D.C., Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal spoke with students at The George Washington University, focusing on key aspects of Ukrainian diplomacy in the face of global challenges. 

The meeting's participants addressed important topics such as the leadership of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and discussed how Ukrainian diplomacy works not only with governments but also with civil societies around the world. 

Denys Shmyhal spoke about how the sanctions policy against russia was constructed and how Ukraine managed to achieve the creation of a new mechanism for using frozen russian assets for the benefit of our country. 

In addition, the Prime Minister had the opportunity to meet with Henry Hale, director of The Petrach Programme on Ukraine, co-author of "The Zelensky Effect", and Alyssa Ayres, Dean of the Elliott School of International Affairs. The conversation focused on the challenges facing Ukraine, as well as its struggle and resilience in the face of those challenges. 

"russia is investing large resources in spreading propaganda. It is necessary to prevent the enemy's attempts, so the role of teachers and scientists is crucial," the Prime Minister stressed. The Head of the Ukrainian Government thanked Henry Gale for advocating Ukraine and his clear position on the independence and democratic choice of our country. 

Denys Shmyhal also handed over to his American friends a symbolic rooster from Borodyanka and a photo book with evidence of the destruction of Ukraine.
