On 24 February, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal took part in a special meeting of the Yalta Economic Strategy (YES).
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Head of the Ukrainian Government had a conversation with Polish politician Aleksander Kwasniewski, during which Denys Shmyhal spoke about the hybrid threats posed by Russia to Europe and outlined the benefits of Ukraine's accession to the European Union.
"russian aggression is a manifestation of a broader geopolitical phenomenon: the crisis of the global world order. kremlin thinks not in terms of international law, but in terms of the logic - "everything that does not have immediate punishment is allowed", the Prime Minister stressed.
Denys Shmyhal assured that our country should become a part of the collective West, which in turn will restart the global security system, which is no longer working.
"Ukraine is security and defence for Europe. The Armed Forces of Ukraine can become the basis of a unified European Army and an alternative to the U.S. Army, whose military contingents are currently deployed in the EU," the Prime Minister stressed.
He added that military security was only one of many aspects that made Ukraine important to Europe.
"Ukraine has 22 out of 30 minerals that are on the EU's list of critical resources. It has the second largest gas reserves on the continent and the largest gas storage facilities. It is an IT hub and a potential for nearshoring," said Denys Shmyhal.
According to him, the project of rebuilding our country can become a driving force for the growth of the European economy and unite
According to him, the project of rebuilding our country can become a driving force for the growth of the European economy and the unification of Europe.
"Ukraine is the last protective barrier between Europe, the West, and the new era of chaos. That is why it is in the strategic interest of our allies that Ukraine survives," the Prime Minister highlighted.
