Ukraine continues preparations for the fall and winter period. On the instructions of the Government, inspections of the winter readiness of the Invincibility Centers should have already begun. This was informed by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
"Local authorities and other responsible agencies must now ensure that the centers are prepared and provided with everything they need. This is the safety and confidence of people," the Head of Government emphasized.
Separately, Denys Shmyhal drew attention to the issue of security in schools in connection with the start of the school year.
"There must be high-quality, comfortable and reliable shelters. The Government has allocated money for this. We have also developed standard designs for kindergartens and schools that take into account modern safety, barrier-free and energy efficiency requirements. Local governments can use these projects free of charge and save money and time on the preparation of documentation," the Prime Minister said.
Denys Shmyhal emphasized that in June this year, some local managers had been dismissed due to the generally inadequate condition of the shelters. The Government has instructed to inspect the shelters again: "Where nothing has changed with the condition of the shelters, there will be personnel decisions."
