    As part of a working trip to Donetsk region, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal took part in the celebrations dedicated to the sixth anniversary of the liberation of the Ukrainian cities of Slovyansk, Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka and Kostiantynivka.

    The festive events near the Memorial Complex to the fallen ATO participants on Mount Karachun were attended by: President of Ukraine (in the format of a teleconference), First Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Serhii Trofimov, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Serhii Bessarab, Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleh Nemchinov, members of the foreign delegation headed by the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland, Latvia, Estonia and the Slovak Republic to Ukraine, head of Donetsk regional state administration, head of military-civil administration Pavlo Kyrylenko, commander of the Joint Forces operation Volodymyr Kravchenko and others.

    The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is currently on a working trip to Odesa region, congratulated the participants of the celebrations in the format of a video conference.

    The Prime Minister, in turn, stressed that Ukraine would remember for the tens and hundreds of years the liberation of Kramatorsk, Slovyansk and other cities of Donetsk region and the Ukrainian military, who had given their lives on Mount Karachun. "These people gave us the opportunity to feel calm on a peaceful day. Today there are children present here who were born on the day of liberation. We congratulate them on birthday and in fact it is rather symbolic and it’s pleasant to have such opportunities," said the Prime Minister.

    Moreover, he joined in the congratulations of the President of Ukraine to the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the occasion of Navy Day, which is also marked today. "Today is a great double holiday and we join the greetings to our sailors of the Ukrainian Navy. In fact, today we can feel the unity of Ukraine and this teleconference demonstrates the unity of Ukraine from Odesa to Kramatorsk, from Uzhgorod to Donetsk and Luhansk. Ukraine is united, indivisible, independent and in the near future, I believe, will be a peaceful state," said Denys Shmyhal.

    "I deliver special thanks to the servicemen on this day, special wishes for peace, joy and goodness, harmony in your families, and to all of us a peaceful sky above our heads, happiness and success," the Prime Minister added.

    Moreover, the Prime Minister thanked Ukraine's European partners, emphasizing on the scale of the support they render to ensure Ukraine’s success, independence and development.

    Separately, Denys Shmyhal noted that the unity of Ukraine is guaranteed not only by the strength of the Ukrainian military, but also by the development of the regions. According to him, Ukraine has concentrated huge resources to provide the implementation of the national Great Construction project. "Currently, under the President's program, kindergartens and stadiums are being built in Odesa and Donetsk region," the Head of Government stressed and added that the implementation of the Great Construction program would only gain momentum.

    According to him, in Donetsk region alone by the end of the year, there will be built 5 new schools, 5 new kindergartens, 5 new sports facilities and 200 km of new roads. Apart from that, 11 reception departments of reference hospitals will be upgraded.
