    In Ukraine, all conditions have been created to ensure the releasing of pontential of gifted young athletes. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a visit to the Olympus Luhansk Regional Sports Center on November 26. On Friday, the Prime Minister is paying a working visit to Luhansk region. The Prime Minister is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk.

    Within the framework of the Large Construction programme of the President of Ukraine, a gym for sports gymnastics was built in the institution, and the reconstruction of the fitness facility is currently underway.

    "Thanks to the initiative of Volodymyr Zelenskyy, transport, social and sports infrastructure is already being actively developed in Ukraine. The best conditions are being created for our young athletes so that they can maximize their potential and win the top awards for Ukraine at world competitions," said Denys Shmyhal.

    The Prime Minister was informed that the newly built gym will be the main place for training gymnasts not only from the region, but also from the national team of Ukraine.

    The reconstruction of the gym of the Olympus Luhansk Regional Sports Center is expected to be completed by the end of next year. So far, dismantling works have been performed, the foundation has been made and the frame of the future facility has been built.

    The Prime Minister also visited the site where construction of a field-and-track arena and houses for athletes during the training camp had triggered.

    "The construction of these facilities will provide an opportunity to hold year-round training sessions and competitions in athletics. It is of paramount importance that our athletes can train in Ukraine," said the Prime Minister.

    The construction of the athletics arena of the Olympus Luhansk Regional Sports Center is implemented within the subvention from the state budget to local budgets for the implementation of infrastructure projects and the development of socio-cultural facilities.
