The Government has approved the launch of the pilot project "Electronic Border Crossing Queue". This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on December 9.
"The idea of the queue is quite simple: booking time when you can cross the border. The project will allow citizens to quickly register at the border, while vehicles – to prevent from idling for several days. Comfortable waiting zones will also be created. The introduction of the "Electronic Queue" will improve the image of our country and the investment climate," the Head of Government stressed.
The Prime Minister stressed that Ukraine has significant transport potential and Ukrainian border checkpoints should not be an obstacle. According to Denys Shmyhal, this year a plan was adopted to modernize checkpoints, in the framework of which there will be held modernization of 20 and construction of 12 new checkpoints. The total budget of the program is almost UAH 10 billion for 3 years.
