  • Denys Shmyhal: The state fulfills its social obligations in full

    For more than 10 million retirees on March 1, pensions will be indexed by 14%. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on the air of the program Svoboda Slova (Freedom of Speech – ed.) on ICTV channel.

    "The state fulfills its social obligations in full. We pay pensions and subsidies. We ensure the stability of tariffs and prices. We have signed a memorandum with local governments and met all the conditions on the part of the Government to keep prices for heat and hot water in place until the end of the current heating season," said the Prime Minister.

    The Head of Government stressed that the implementation of the initiatives of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy would continue. In particular, in January, doctors will receive salaries of at least UAH 20,000, while paramedical personnel - at least UAH 13,500.

    "The Ministry of Health monitors this issue, with personal supervision by the Minister," said Denys Shmyhal.

    The Prime Minister assured that the program ePidtrymka is planned to expand. Since January 24, people aged over 60 have received an opportunity to purchase medicines under the program. In the future, the Government will introduce other novelties.

    The President's program Affordable Loans at 5-7-9% to support small and medium-sized businesses will also be implemented. According to the Prime Minister, loans to the tune of UAH 82.5 billion have been issued so far, more than 31,000 contracts have been concluded and more than 100,000 applications are being considered by banks.
