The team of the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine met with Danish government officials and representatives of the business community.
The Danish delegation was headed by Morten Bødskov, Minister for Industry, Business and Financial Affairs. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Ukraine Ole Egberg Mikkelsen, representatives of the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO), the Confederation of Danish Industry, Mærsk, DSV, Velux Anders, and others.
Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, thanked Denmark for its military and humanitarian support to Ukraine.
“I am grateful to Denmark for the high-quality and substantive cooperation with Mykolaiv region. Such a meaningful partnership is an example for other countries and our regions. Your twinning with Mykolaiv communities is already making our country more resilient and stronger,” said Oleksii Kuleba.
Morten Bødskov emphasised that the Danish delegation included representatives of companies already operating in Ukraine, those with investments here, and those with ideas for cooperation.
The representatives of the companies outlined their vision of cooperation and areas of investment in Ukraine, including logistics, to the Ukrainian side.
For his part, the Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine stressed that the Ministry was committed to transparent and accountable cooperation.
Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development Tymur Tkachenko emphasised the importance of the Ukrainian Sea Corridor for domestic exports and the plans to concession the port of Chornomorsk.
Serhii Sukhomlyn, Head of the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, spoke about plans to supply Mykolaiv with water and said that the task of building a water supply system by next summer was urgent.
The Danish side reaffirmed its role as a reliable partner of Ukraine in the restoration of Mykolaiv. The parties agreed to continue discussions on the details of their cooperation.
