The Government has updated the procedure for crossing the state border. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko following the Cabinet of Ministers meeting on 26 August.

“Men aged 18 to 22 will be able to cross the border freely during martial law. This applies to all citizens of the relevant age,” the Head of Government stressed.

She emphasised that the decision also applies to citizens who are abroad for various reasons.

“We want Ukrainians to maintain as many ties with Ukraine as possible,” Yulia Svyrydenko noted, adding that the border crossing changes will take effect the day after the resolution’s official publication.
