The Government, together with the Council for Entrepreneurship Support in the Conditions of Martial Law and the Business Ombudsman Council, has launched the communication component of the Made in Ukraine platform, which will help measure the level of satisfaction of entrepreneurs with state institutions and services. It is powered by pulse.gov.ua. The announcement was made during the presentation of the Ukrainian Economic Platform “Made in Ukraine”, created at the initiative of the President of Ukraine.
“This project will become one of the tools aimed at improving the efficiency of cooperation between the Government and the business community. Entrepreneurs will be able to evaluate the work of government agencies online, the level of services they receive from the state, and complain about shortcomings or problems they have encountered while communicating with the authorities. This is a business feedback channel that will enable the Government to respond to business requests and solve problems as quickly as possible,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
The communication component of the Made in Ukraine platform provides for a single direct channel of communication with the Business Ombudsman Council, through which entrepreneurs will be able to seek help from the Business Ombudsman Council team and receive free support from specialists.
“The Business Ombudsman Council and its highly qualified lawyers, who have been working on complaints about problems in the Ukrainian business environment for more than 9 years, have proven their ability to effectively resolve business issues without going to court. Deepening our partnership with the Ministry of Economy in launching the platform will allow us to work more effectively on specific business issues, including systemic problems, at the governmental level,” said Business Ombudsman of Ukraine Roman Waschuk.
Background
The Business Ombudsman Council is an independent, equidistant institution established to protect legal business rights and promote good governance that has been operating since 2015 under the auspices of the Government of Ukraine, international financial institutions and the business community. The Council considers entrepreneurs’ complaints about state bodies’ malpractice and helps to settle disputes at the pretrial stage.
