The draft state budget for 2020 should, apart from being balanced, also contain protected points, in particular the financial possibilities of the communities, preservation of social programs and implementation of infrastructure projects. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said on air of the Ukrayina TV channel.

The PM reminded that his Government had submitted timely a draft state budget to the Verkhovna Rada during the three years. And the discussion took place in the terms determined by the Ukrainian legislation.

This year, we also must comply with the law and adopt a balanced budget that will protect the principles of financial decentralization, support for regions, support of the Army and large infrastructure and cultural projects, extended in time. Volodymyr Groysman noted, among such projects is the rehabilitation of road infrastructure connecting district centers.

"Next year we offer UAH 75 billion for road construction, of which UAH 10 billion is money for small roads. We already have quality control, there is a decision not to pay for roads in which the performance of construction work is poor. And, most importantly, there is a law enforcement system that should catch those who have decided to steal from road construction activities", urged Volodymyr Groysman.

Budget 2020 should be balanced, and preserve the powers of communities and social sector support, assures Volodymyr Groysman
