Business and Government strengthen cooperation on introducing environmental standards in the economy

On September 23, 2025, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine Ihor Zubovych and President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gennadiy Chyzhykov signed a Memorandum on Institutional Cooperation.

The document establishes a new format for interaction between the state and the business community, with a focus on the environmental sustainability of investment processes.

The main areas of cooperation include:

- Attracting investments and innovative solutions in the field of ecology, developing "green" projects, and promoting renewable energy;
- Supporting businesses in implementing environmental standards and certifications to enhance competitiveness in domestic and international markets;
- Promoting environmental culture and education through joint information campaigns, training sessions, and public events;
- Organizing joint events involving experts and businesses, as well as establishing working groups and expert platforms.

"Today, we are taking an important step toward making environmental sustainability an integral part of Ukraine’s investment policy. Our priority is to create conditions where businesses gain economic benefits while contributing to environmental preservation. Cooperation with the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry allows us to unite the efforts of the state and business to build a modern and environmentally safe economy," said Ihor Zubovych.
