As of July 9, employers submitted more than 190,000 packages of documents to employment centers (of which more than 164,000 were from individual entrepreneurs). More than 165,000 decisions have already been made to make payments to 312,000 employees (143,500 of them are sole proprietors). The sum worth UAH 1,155.5 million was financed.

“The partial unemployment program really works. We already have more than 300,000 jobs that we have managed to preserve due to this government initiative. The program operates throughout Ukraine and covers almost all sectors. Among the participants who have already benefited from the support are representatives of light industry, food industry, transport, tourism, restaurant business and many others,” said the Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Ihor Petrashko.

The TOP 5 regions in terms of the number of applications submitted by entrepreneurs are the following: Lviv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Sumy, Chernivtsi regions.

In particular, assistance on partial unemployment was used by JSC "TURBOATOM", LLC "Kromberg and Schubert Ukraine LU" (Volyn region), LLC "Kromberg and Schubert ZHU" (Kyiv), LLC "Kostal Ukraine" (Kyiv region), "Vinnytsia plant "Mayak", "Chernihivavtoservis", "Cherkasy confectionery factory "Mercury", "Billerbek Ukraine feather and down factory", Dnipro furniture factory and many others.

Besides, it is important to note that through employment centers in June there were employed by one-third more people (54,000) than in May this year. In total, since the beginning of quarantine, this figure is 174,000 people.

"We have good news now. For the last 3 weeks, the number of unemployed has remained unchanged. We hope, at least, that the figure will not increase, but on the contrary will decrease," commented on the situation on the labor market Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Ihor Petrashko.
