Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko held an online meeting with Minister of Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology of Austria Leonore Gewessler.

German Galushchenko thanked his colleague for the support that Austria had provided to the Ukrainian energy sector - more than 217 tonnes of humanitarian aid, which had been delivered to Ukrainian energy companies and helped to carry out restoration operations at critical energy infrastructure facilities.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Energy stressed that russia continues massive attacks on energy infrastructure facilities and networks that provide electricity to millions of civilian Ukrainians. Such attacks can have critical consequences, especially in winter. In view of this, further assistance of international partners to the Ukrainian energy sector is crucial.

The Ministers discussed areas of cooperation to meet the priority needs of Ukrainian energy companies in materials and equipment.

Leonore Gewessler assured that Austria would continue to support the Ukrainian energy sector.
