The campaign against the team of the Ministry of Healthcare which is implementing today's medical reform is an attempt to bring Ukraine back to the edge of a precipice when healthcare system was neglected. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the Government sitting.

He emphasized that the Government has created the team of the Ministry of Healthcare headed by Ulana Suprun. They presented a vision of changes and kicked off its implementation. But from the first day they are attacked by populists who are trying to make them responsible for all failures of previous years.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the team over the recent years has managed to implement striking programs. He cited examples of the Available Medicines program under which 31 million recipes have been already prescribed, changes in the system of  medicines procurement which led to eradication of corruption schemes, the  completion of construction of OKHMATDYT hospital  and a network of cardiology centers which is being established.

Volodymyr Groysman stressed that it is not Ulana Suprun’s fault that patient room in the regional hospital is unrepaired. The Government is shaping and implementing various mechanisms to repair patient rooms, to provide hospitals with equipment, to improve the quality of medical services, and to ensure payment of decent salaries to doctors.

"There is a curious pattern to accuse those are striving for changes. This will not stop us and we will keep moving forward - we have ambitious plans. We support a team of the Ministry of Healthcare  which implements the reform. And we need the ultimate result", Volodymyr Groysman stressed.

The Head of Government noted that he instructed government officials to prepare an appeal to the court in order to restore justice.
