  • Andrii Zahorodniuk held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine

    The ways for further cooperation development between the defense agencies of two countries were discussed by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andrii Zahorodniuk and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Anka Feldhusen.

    Andrii Zahorodniuk informed the German delegation about the priorities of his activity as the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, assuring that the chosen Euro-Atlantic course of the country remains unchanged.

    The Minister of Defense expressed words of gratitude for the consistent political, material and advisory support for Ukraine by Germany. In particular, he highly appreciated efforts of the Government of Germany for the treatment and rehabilitation of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the medical institutions of the Bundeswehr, noting that the Ministry of Defense is interested in further development of military-medical cooperation.

    The possibility of development of bilateral cooperation in education and training was also highlighted during the meeting. In this context, the parties stressed the importance of exchanging experience and improving practical skills between the Armed Forces of both countries.

    Ambassador Anka Feldhusen congratulated Andrii Zahorodniuk on his appointment as the Minister of Defense of Ukraine and expressed hope for further friendly and constructive relations. The Ambassador also shared her impressions of the trip to the JFO operation area in the East of Ukraine.
