Andrii Sybiha: Ukrainian cultural season “Voyage en Ukraine” to take place in France
During a visit to Kyiv by French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced an agreement to hold the Ukrainian Cultural Season “Voyage en Ukraine” (Journey to Ukraine) in France.
The cultural initiative will run in France from December 2025 to March 2026.
“This is a large-scale initiative under the patronage of our ministries, implemented by the French Institute and the Ukrainian Institute. We will introduce the French public to Ukraine’s unique culture and art. Mutual cultural understanding will bring our peoples and countries even closer,” Andrii Sybiha stated at a joint press conference with his French counterpart in Kyiv.
The “Voyage en Ukraine” Season aims to honour the resilience and creativity of Ukrainian society in response to russian aggression.
Through artistic events, meetings, and discussions, the French audience will gain a deeper appreciation of the richness of Ukrainian culture.
The initiative will also foster professional connections between the cultural communities of France, Ukraine, and other European countries, strengthening cultural cooperation and supporting Ukraine’s European integration.
The programme’s organisation has been entrusted to the French Institute and the Ukrainian Institute, which are implementing it based on a partnership agreement signed on 22 May 2024 in Kyiv.
The institutes will work closely with relevant ministries, embassies, and other stakeholders, including state institutions, local authorities, businesses, and civil society organisations that support resistance to russian aggression and Ukraine’s recovery.
