Since the beginning of the year, 12,500 agricultural enterprises have received UAH 66.1 billion in bank loans for the development of farms. Of these, 9,700 enterprises received nearly UAH 38 billion in loans under the Government’s Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme.

Agricultural enterprises in the following regions received the largest amount of loans under various programmes:

• Kyiv region – UAH 10.6 billion (913 enterprises);
• Vinnytsia region – UAH 6 billion (1,431),
• Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 5.95 billion (798);
• Cherkasy region – UAH 5.3 billion (486)
• Kirovohrad region – UAH 4.85 billion (1,668);
• Odesa region – UAH 4.37 billion (1,087).

The following regions received the most loans under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme:

• Kirovohrad region – UAH 4.1 billion (1,323 enterprises);
• Vinnytsia region – UAH 3.89 billion (1,078);
• Odesa region – UAH 3.68 billion (876);
• Kyiv region – UAH 3.6 billion (734).

Background

The Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme simplifies access to bank lending for micro and small businesses. Farmers can receive a loan of up to UAH 90 million. Loans are provided at 5-9% per annum, depending on the loan category and type of business entity.
