
Oleksandr Danyliuk and State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance of the Netherlands Menno Snel signed the Protocol to the Convention on Avoidance of Double Taxation
On March 12, 2018 Minister of Finance
of Ukraine Oleksandr Danyliuk and State
Secretary of the Ministry of
Finance of the Netherlands Menno Snel signed
the Protocol Amending the Convention
between Ukraine and the Kingdom
of the Netherlands
for the Avoidance
of Double Taxation and the
Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to
Taxes on Income and on
Property.
The Protocol will
provide for avoidance of double
taxation of individuals and entities on the
territories of both nations. This
will be achieved
through allocation of taxing rights
to Ukraine and the Netherlands
depending on the location of
tax occurrence and through accounting
by each nation
the taxes paid on the
territory of the other nation.
During his visit
to the Netherlands
Minister Danyliuk also met Minister
of Finance of the Netherlands
Wopke Hoekstra. They discussed the Ukraine-IMF cooperation, the current status
of reforms in Ukraine, i.a.
in the context
of reforming of the banking
sector of Ukraine and the
prospects of foreign investments into it.
During the visit
Oleksandr Danyliuk also took part in
the business seminar “Ukrainian Financial Analysis”, arranged by NGO «Rotterdam Partners» together with the
Embassy of Ukraine in the
Netherlands and representatives of the local business.
Oleksandr Danyliuk also had a meeting
with Executive Director at the
Board of the World Bank
Group Frank Heemskerk.
