The Government approved
a number of decisions aimed at increasing social
protection of people with disabilities,
primarily in terms of provision
of rehabilitation equipment as well
as launch of a special service
for transportation of people with
special needs. The Prime Minister
of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman presented crucial points of the
decisions.
The Prime Minister
stressed each transformation and reform encapsulate consequences that affect the lives
of citizens. "Any change can
affect live of citizens in
the future. Today, we will
make decisions that concern people
who need more attention and help. We
are talking about people with
disabilities. It is necessary to
provide them with high-quality orthopedic products and to ensure
transportation of people in wheelchairs", Volodymyr Groysman emphasized.
He stressed Government
decisions will allow people to
choose rehabilitation equipment, depending on the needs
and quality, as well as
to purchase special vehicles, which will then
be transferred to the local
level for the development of the special
transportation service network.
The Prime Minister stressed social protection and
raising social standards are top
issues on the agenda of
the Government and
emphasized the necessity to
compare the said issues with
the growth of the national
economy.
