the qualifications of Ukrainian teachers,
promotion of the important role
of education for society, and
improvement of the educational environment of schools as
part of the

School. The document was signed
by Minister of Education and
Science of Ukraine Lilia Hrynevich
and Minister for Foreign Affairs
of of Finland
Timo Soini today, March 5, 2018, at the premises
of the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Once the agreement
is signed, the Parliament must ratify it.
Lilia Hrynevich emphasizes these bureaucratic procedures must be completed within
the coming months.
Finland is one of the reliable
partners of Ukraine. After the Revolution of Dignity, the
Republic of Finland increased the amount of
assistance to our country. Thus,
over the past three years,
the amount of humanitarian and technical assistance
provided is worth 28.7 million euros. Finland supports legislative, economic and energy
reforms through the Council of
the European Union, the European
Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the World Bank and
the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation.
It should be
noted that from September 1, 2018, all first-grade pupils will study
under the new state standard
for elementary school. In order
to support the teachers on
this path, the Ministry of
Education and Science launched a large-scale teacher training.
