PM expresses an idea of a total ban on law enforcement contacts with businesses
The Security Service
of Ukraine
(hereinafter - SSU), structural
units of the Prosecutor General's Office and the National Police
should be deprived of the right of any contact with business
and they should hand over power
to a single think tank that
will conduct business analytics and eradicate shady
business deals. This was stated
by Prime Minister of Ukraine
Volodymyr Groysman during Annual Ukraine
Investor Conference.
The Head of Government stressed the name of
this authority is not a vital
point, and at present, there are
several variants as well as
there are several bills on
the creation and operation of
the said body.
"We do not lay claim to play
a pioneering role. I want SSU be deprived
of its right
to have contacts
with businesses. I'm talking about
it seriously," he claimed.
Moreover, the Prime
Minister emphasized the structural units of the
National Police and the Prosecutor
General Office, which are responsible for supervision in the business
sector must be liquidated.
"We are
committed to establishing a single think tank that
addresses business analysis and suppress
shadowy businesses. I advocate this idea",
stressed Volodymyr Groysman.
Apart from that,
he called on business circles to analyze
all initiatives aimed to form
a single service as well as
to elaborate the far-reaching draft law, which
can be shortly
considered and unanimously adopted as in the
case with the law on
the protection of business rights
‘Mask Show Stop’.
