The Cabinet of
Ministers of Ukraine supports the draft law designed to establish an
Anti-corruption court in Ukraine be included in the agenda of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Prime
Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman
said during his communication with regional media outlets. The Head of
Government expressed hope that the document would be considered by the
committees promptly, and already on Thursday, March 1, voted in the first
reading.
"This will
mean that in a month and half we will be able to adopt the decision as a
whole," the Prime Minister added.
Background
The setting up of
the Anti-corruption court in Ukraine is one of the main conditions for the
continuation of cooperation with one of the largest financial partners of
Ukraine - the International Monetary Fund. In addition, the establishment of
the Court is included on waiting list of business circles. The Head of
Government stressed, the creation of the Court will bring to a close to the
discussions on corruption in Ukraine, which will be a positive signal for
investors.
