February 7, on the initiative of the Ministry of
Economic Development and Trade the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decision on
the establishment of an Export Credit Agency (hereinafter - ECA) and approved
its organizational documents. According to its structure ECA is a Private Joint
Stock Company (PJSC).
The Government approved the Statute of the PJSC
Export-Credit Agency, Supervisory Board and Board regulations, the Audit
Commission of the Agency, the Procedure for conducting competitive selection of
candidates for the position of the member of the Supervisory Board of ECA.
"The Export Credit Agency will facilitate
Ukraine's transition from raw material exports to exports of value added goods
and services. We plan to work in synergy with the Parliament to amend the ECA
law in line with our position in order to make the changes necessary for the
effective work of the Agency. After that, the formation of the team and the
bodies of ECA, adoption of the necessary regulations, approval of the operating
procedures of the agency and, ultimately, the launch of its work", First Vice Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv claimed.

Minister of Economic Development and Trade, stressed the adoption of the said
document is a much-needed tool for the launch of the state support system and
promotion of Ukrainian exporters, and this, in turn, is a top priority for the
Ministry of Economic Development and Trade for the current year.
