
Stepan Poltorak: Coordinated cooperation between members of parliament and defence ministry contributes to successful legislative activity
The George
C. Marshall European Centre for Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen
(Germany) hosted the session on defence reform in
Ukraine and civil democratic control within the defence
ministry in participation of Minister of Defence of
Ukraine General of the Army of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak, Members of Parliament of Ukraine and
representatives of the Ukrainian Government.
The
participants discussed the idea of improvement, enhancement of cooperation in defence issues between members of parliament and defence ministry through seminars at National Defence University of Ukraine.
“Coordinated
cooperation between members of parliament and defence
ministry contributes to successful legislative activity”, the Minister said, “I
am ready to new forms and methods of work and will control the organization of
such meetings at our National Defence University. We
have to combine new forms of work and old practice. It will be effective”.
