Pavlo Rozenko: In 2018 social standards growth rate is forecast to exceed inflation index
One of the
priorities of the State Budget for 2018 is to ensure the growth of social
standards at a higher pace than inflation. Vice
Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko
stated in an interview with Channel 5.
"For us, the
main thing is to provide the level of social standards (first of all salaries
and pensions) demonstrate higher growing performance as compared to inflation
level. This
is our principled position, this is one of the priorities, in particular included
in the budget for 2018," he stressed.
Pavlo Rosenko reminded that in 2017, the raising of actual wages had
surpassed by 20% the level of inflation. "Last
year we had an increase of real wages (the sum excluding inflationary
processes) by about 20%. This is a
significant figure. That
is, in 2017, the growth of wages surpassed inflation rate by 20%", explained
the Vice Prime Minister.
