Implementation
of the export strategy as a key document stipulating for the development of
international trade of Ukraine will allow the country not just to expand the
trading opportunities, but to include them in global production and supply
chains as well. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the
Government sitting.
"The
total volume has grown by 20%, or it makes up $ 35 billion. We have two goals:
first is to saturate the domestic market, and we are demonstrating progress in
this direction, and second line is to grow exports," the Head of
Government stressed.
He
emphasized that the geography of supplies of Ukrainian products covers more
than 160 countries, while goods range from agro-sector to the production of
mining and metallurgical and machine building industries.
"Ukraine
should be a major exporting country," urged Volodymyr Groysman.
The Prime Minister
also announced that drafting of resolutions on the Export Credit Agency sees
its final stage. "We have to provide financial support for the trade in
products of Ukrainian origin. This is an essential instrument," the Head
of Government stressed.
He once again
drew attention to the fact that exports and the economy, namely economic
recovery, remain part of the priority agenda for the Government in 2018.
