Mitigating of aftereffects
of abundant snowfall on December 18-19 in western and central regions of
Ukraine requires coordination of actions and huge accountability on the part of
both central government officials and local leaders, stated Prime Minister of
Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman
during the Government sitting.
"When weather
deterioration occurs, we always experience certain problems. It's clear, but what's important? How
adequate is the response by those who bears responsibility for instilling order:
whether they just observe the situation or they promptly mobilize their efforts
and settle the problems on the ground," stressed Volodymyr
Groysman during the Government sitting, "I
emphasize that I will be demanding, in particular to local authorities. I have zero tolerance
for lack of responsibility."
The Head of Government emphasized that all the necessary resources to overcome the consequences of adverse weather are available. Moreover, today to Bila Tserkva, where there have been observed the most extensive congestions, on commission of the Minister of Interior there were sent senior officials of rescue services who are providing an update about the developments every half-an-hour to personally the Head of the Government and the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
