Government of Ukraine announces launch of procedure for the selection of international partners for the joint management of the Ukrainian GTS

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has commenced an official procedure for the selection of international partners to jointly manage the Ukrainian gas transport system. The relevant decision was adopted today at a Government sitting.

There will be conducted preliminary consultations with international GTS operators that meet the requirements specified in part one of Article 21 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Gas Market". On the basis of the analysis of such information, conditions will be developed to launch a tender to attract one or more GTS partners to PJSC Mahistralni Hazoprovody Ukrainy.

Under the above ordinance, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine are commissioned within 10 days to inform international GTSOs about such consultations.
