In the framework of the third meeting of China-Ukraine bilateral cooperation commission, which takes place in Kyiv on December 4-6, the Ministry of Culture signed a Program of Cultural Cooperation between the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China for 2018-2022.

The program was signed by Minister of Culture of Ukraine Yevhen Nyschuk and Deputy Minister of Culture of the People's Republic of China Dong Wei. During the meeting, the sides noted the positive dynamics of bilateral Ukrainian-Chinese cooperation in the field of culture and agreed to encourage the deepening of mutually beneficial partnership in this field in the future.

The program envisages support and contains initiatives to strengthen direct contacts between cultural and artistic institutions of the two states, as well as cooperation in exchange of business information, training, organizing joint creative events, organization and implementation of joint artistic projects, including participation in major international cultural events such as the International Festival of Contemporary Art  and Cinema Gogolfest (Kyiv), the Silk Road International Cultural Expo (Dunhuang), the China Shanghai International Arts Festival.
