  • Government of Ukraine and United Nations signed the Partnership Framework for 2018-2022

    First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine/ Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv and UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Ukraine Neal Walker signed the Partnership Framework Program between the Government of Ukraine and the United Nations for 2018-2022.

    The new five-year Partnership Framework with an expected budget of USD 675 million determines common strategic planning basis for UN development operations and assistance in Ukraine in four main areas:

    1.Sustainable economic growth, environment and employment;

    2.Equitable access to quality and inclusive services and social protection;

    3.Democratic governance, rule of law and civic participation;

    4.Human security, social cohesion and recovery with a particular focus on Eastern Ukraine.

    The strategic framework drafted in synergy with the United Nations agencies in Ukraine, the Government of Ukraine, representatives of the civil society and expert community singles out joint commitment to support the reform process, achievement of international standards, Sustainable Development Agenda 2030, and Ukraine’s commitments to the objectives of international conventions, protocols and standards, and human rights instruments.
