The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, in the framework of implementation of a government's initiative to eliminate any pressure on honest business by law enforcement and controlling bodies, has drafted a number of amendments to the legislation aimed to protect entrepreneurs and strengthen the responsibility of authorities for unlawful actions against entrepreneurs. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.

He emphasized that the changes had been prepared by an interagency group of specialists from the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Office of the Business Ombudsman, etc. and take into account the demands voiced by business representatives in September during a meeting with the President, the Head of Government and the Prosecutor General. Volodymyr Groysman reminded that a series of important regulatory decisions had already been adopted following the meeting, and thanked the President of Ukraine and the Prosecutor General for their introduction.

“During the meeting, I promised that the Government would table an initiative of creating a legislative framework to disable any kind of pressure on entrepreneurs. I'm talking about honest business structures...,” stressed Volodymyr Groysman, “Our priority includes creating startups and development of effective enterprises. Thus, the economy will become stronger; therefore, Ukraine will become stronger, while all those who impede doing so will incur responsibility."
