Introduced
by the Government policy of supporting innovation and technological
modernization of the state will afford the country to achieve the strategic
goal which is to change the model of the economy from that based on raw
materials and to switch from constant "patching holes" to system
development and the production of final product with high added value. Prime
Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman
announced during the International Mayors' Summit dedicated to municipal
innovation development.
He reminded
that several institutions are operating in Ukraine with the purpose of creating
a system of innovative support, in particular the Innovation Support Council,
Investment Support and Export Promotion Offices, the Startup Support Fund,
which will be launched the next year.

are committed to modernizing, leveraging investment, creating new jobs, launching
new businesses," said Volodymyr Groysman.

universal ideas, among which achieving complete energy independence, energy
efficiency and industry rehabilitation.
"Innovations
and efficient solutions should be the basis for effective and high quality
governance," the Prime Minister urged, "I believe in a democratic
Ukraine with strong economy. We must abandon a model of economy basing on raw
materials being a supplier for other economies, we
should cease being a country exporting raw materials alone. It is crucial for
us, through support of innovations, to change the model of the economy, to produce
a competitive product, to enter the markets of other countries and to build up
our home".
