  • Ukrainian and Canadian Army Commanders hold talks in Kyiv

    Commander of Ukrainian Army Lt. Gen. Serhii Popko held talks with Commander of Canadian Army Lt. Gen. Paul Wynnyk.

    Gen. Popko briefed the Canadian colleagues on situation in east of Ukraine, as well on reforms and achievements of the Ukrainian army in 2014 — 2017, prospects of development of the Ukrainian army based on lessons learned in east of Ukraine and prospects of Ukraine-NATO cooperation.

    The Commander of Ukrainian Army thanked the Canadian party for support and assistance.

    General Wynnyk praised positive changes within the Ukrainian army over the past years and confirmed Canadian commitment to supporting Ukraine.
