In 2017, the Ukrainian
Association in Finland, Suomi - Ukraina-silta ry with support
of the Embassy
of Ukraine in Finland and
the Ukrainian State Film Agency
hosted the Ukrainian Film Days.
This year, the
Finnish audience watched the new
Ukrainian fantasy movie The Stronghold,
based on the book of
Volodymyr Rutkivskyi. Kids and adults
were excited by adventures of
a boy Vitko traveled a thousand years into the
past, to the times of
Kyivan Rus. The conversation about the film
with one of the leading
actors of the movie Oleh
Voloshchenko was a wonderful surprise for guests of
the event.
Next day’s documentary
film presented stories of 13 pupils
of school #3 in a town Mykolaivka,
Donetsk region, suffered from the
Russian aggression against Ukraine in summer of
2014.
