Maple Arch 2017: Ukrainian paratroopers share combat experience with foreign colleagues
In Poland, Ukrainian
paratroopers shared ATO experience with participants of Maple Arch 2017. They gave presentations
on aspects of tasks accomplishment
within the brigade.
LTC Andrii Orynchych briefed Polish, Lithuanian, and
Canadian colleagues on planning of
combat operations based on experience
of the 80th separate assault airborne brigade. Ukrainian officers spoke about reconnaissance
and intelligence, deployment of artillery
units, as well as focused
on propaganda issues and civil-military cooperation.
Exercise co-director Col.
Dmytro Bratishko told about defence
and security of critical facilities
and shared experience gained in east of
Ukraine in 2014 during combat operations
near Luhansk airport.
“Experience of
anti-terror operation is not a theory;
we have shared
the real lessons of combat
operations. Our officers have covered
a large scope from planning to
practical war-fighting. Every presentation is a personal experience”,
Col. Bratishko remarked.
